Pewter Tapware
English Pewter Tapware is a brushed nickel finish that creates a satin finish to a nickel base metal.
Pewter has recently seen a surge in popularity and is a lovely finish that works well in both contemporary and classic kitchen/bathroom design. Being derived from nickel the look is distinctly classic yet the brushing distresses the nickel to give an aged or satin feel depending on the level of brushing used at the point of manufacture.
Nickel is a hard metal and when brushed is an excellent choice of finish for areas requiring a timeless finish that does not require maintenance as the brush marks create a satin that disguises daily finger mark usage.
Traditionaltaps.com.au partners with Renaissance to deliver all tapware. Reassuringly, Renaissance is 100% in control of all Nickel plating and as such is able to offer a consistent high quality feel that represents the "Renaissance English Pewter Look".
Renaissance "English Pewter"
Renaissance "Pewter "is a evenly machine brushed by hand nickel that created a consistent satin feel to the nickel plated finish upon your chosen faucet.
The nickel is applied to a minimum of 0.4 microns prior to brushing which importantly represents a depth of nickel plating not seen outside of genuine UK manufactured luxury tapware brands, with industry standards being 0.1-0.2 microns. This extra thickness underpins the quality, longevity and depth of look.
Lacquering
All Renaissance "English Pewter" tapware is electrophilastat lacquered to extra protect the precious metal that adorns your faucet. This lacquer offers a hard coating that ads to the reflective sheen of the nickel when polished.
Inspection
All pewter tap ware is inspected prior to final packing to ensure it is within allowed aesthetic limits ensuring consistency s achieved throughout all Renaissance products.
